Slurry Services
Municipal & ADOT Application
A bonded, ROC-licensed pavement contractor delivering slurry seal, micro-surfacing, and preservation work for Arizona cities, counties, and ADOT districts, placed by our own crews, to MAG and ADOT spec.
LOCAL CREWS, PUBLIC PAVEMENT
American Asphalt has spent more than three decades placing slurry seal, micro-surfacing, and preservation treatments on the streets, highways, and public facilities that keep Arizona moving. Our production yard, distributor fleet, and continuous-run slurry pavers are all local, mobilized from Phoenix out to ADOT districts, county roads, and small-town public works across the state.
For public agencies, that means one accountable contractor from bid through close-out. We own the equipment, employ the crews, and stand behind the QA/QC records that go into the project file, no brokered sub-tier, no finger-pointing when a spec question comes up on site.

A CONTRACTOR PUBLIC WORKS TRUSTS
Public agencies don't have room for surprises, schedules are published, budgets are locked, and every placement is under community scrutiny. Our job is to keep the project boring: predictable, on-spec, and on the calendar the city or district built the program around.
Bid-schedule accuracy
Line items are quantified and priced against the actual spec, not a template, no change-order surprises mid-project.
In-house crews and equipment
Continuous-run slurry pavers, distributor trucks, rollers, and paving crews are all ours, no brokered sub-tier risk.
MAG / ADOT spec fluency
Mix designs, submittals, and QC records are built to MAG Section 336 and ADOT Section 407 out of the gate.
Traffic control that works
MUTCD-based TCPs coordinated with local PD, fire, transit, and schools to keep neighborhoods moving.
Documented QA/QC
Mix design, gradation, extraction, and application-rate records delivered as part of the project close-out package.
Statewide mobility
From Phoenix metro to rural ADOT districts, the same crews, the same standards, the same accountability.
PRESERVATION FOR PUBLIC AGENCIES
For more than three decades, American Asphalt has been the crew behind slurry, micro-surfacing, and preservation work for Arizona's public agencies. From an ADOT district package to a single city street overlay, every project runs through the same in-house team, from mix design and submittals to traffic control, placement, and close-out.
- MAG Section 336 and ADOT Section 407 compliant
- ISSA A105 & A143 mix designs on file
- Bonded, insured, and ROC-licensed statewide
- Prevailing-wage and DBE-participation ready

THE PUBLIC PAVEMENT WE KEEP MOVING
From ADOT preservation packages to city arterials, county collectors, and municipal facility lots, we scope, price, and self-perform the work that keeps Arizona's public pavement in service.

From Bid to Ribbon-Cut
Public-works projects have a rhythm, submittals, preconstruction, TCP, placement, QC, and close-out. We've been in that rhythm for thirty-plus years, and we build our schedules and paperwork around what the agency actually needs to accept the work.

- 04Step
Placement & QA/QC
Full crews execute placement per spec with in-process QC, application rate, gradation, and cure documented.
BUILT TO THE SPEC, EVERY TIME
Every slurry, micro-surfacing, and preservation project we deliver is priced, produced, and placed against a specific published standard. Below are the specifications and credentials most commonly referenced on the bid documents we work from.

ISSA A105 & A143
All slurry and micro-surfacing mixes conform to the International Slurry Surfacing Association A105 (slurry seal) and A143 (micro-surfacing) recommended performance guidelines.
